Ed Perry

From Ed Perry:

FIRST EVER BEER AND WINE CLIMATE CHANGE SUMMIT

  • WHO: Hunters, anglers, conservationists, outdoors people, and concerned citizens
  • WHAT: Beer and Wine Summit on Climate Change
  • WHEN: December 15, 2011 from 7:00 – ? p.m.
  • WHERE: Duffy’s Tavern in Boalsburg. I have the upstairs room reserved for us.

WHY: Despite inaction by Congress, big things happening at the national level. The EPA is poised to publish the first-ever rule to restrict mercury emissions from coal and oil-fired power plants. How do you suppose this congress and our local congressman will react? Hmmm..

Also, EPA is poised to publish draft rules for greenhouse gases. Since Congress won’t act to reduce the threat of climate change, the Obama Administration’s EPA is forging ahead to begin the process of regulating greenhouse gases. How do you suppose this congress and our local congressman will react? Hmmm.

This will be a great time for like-minded citizens to learn what the latest science is showing, what to expect on the political front in the coming year and what we can do to work together to get action on climate change, all while your enjoying your favorite beverage and the company of others who share your concern.

RSVP: Please let me know by December 8 if you plan to attend so that I can give Duffy’s a head count. paglobalwarmingoutreach@gmail.com
