For liberty and fresh backyard eggs

The College Township Council is tentatively set to consider a backyard hen ordinance at their meeting on Thursday, June 5 at 7 p.m. The meeting will be in the College Township Building on 1481 East College Ave.  At this meeting, Council will decide either to move the ordinance allowing backyard hens forward to a public hearing or to deny the ordinance.

This is an on-going effort by a group of College Township residents who would like to raise backyard hens –  a practice that is already legal for their neighbors in State College Borough and Harris and Patton Townships

Please email the Council to show your support for the ordinance, also, if you have time, please try to attend the Council meeting on Thursday to show your support in person.  For more information, please contact Scott Stilson.
