Spring Creek Homesteading Basket for PASA Auction – Seeking Items

Spring Creek Homesteading would like to offer a basket of goodies for the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture’s 11th Annual Benefit Auction, held during the 2013 PASA Farming for the Future conference February 6 through 9 at the Penn Stater Conference Center.

“…this exciting fundraiser consistently wows attendees with displays of over 150 items including: original art, crafts, gift baskets, books, farm tools, vacation packages, and more. We seek items in all price ranges. We hope that you will be a part of this wonderful demonstration of generosity and talent…”

We’re thinking it would be fun to put together a basket of homesteading items created by workshop participants and instructors, such as backyard honey and eggs; homemade food and drink like preserves, sausage, cheese, bread and beer; soaps and candles; knitted and sewn items; maybe a cold frame or a top-bar bee hive.

If you’d like to donate an item to the basket, please contact Program Director Katherine Watt.

Items committed so far…

  • Jar of Honey from backyard bees (Dana Stuchul)
  • Knitted Wool Hat (Katherine Watt)
  • Cold Frame (Joshua Lambert)
