From Marie Taylor at Shaver’s Creek in Petersburg –
Wreaths, Swags, and Dried Bouquets for the Homestead: With harvest season upon us, we will use the beautiful things that nature has left behind to remind us of the warm growing season that is slowly fading. Evergreen boughs, grapevines, sensitive ferns, pine cones, and many more fun, natural and local ingredients are among the items we’ll be using to work together into creative, artistic masterpieces for character and charm in your home this season. Feel free to bring your own dried flowers from your backyard and decorations like ribbons to match your décor. We’ll teach you how to make bows for the finishing touches. Please bring hand pruners and a glue gun if you have them. The fee for all the materials we’ll have available per wreath, bouquet or swag is $7.50, $5.00 for members.
We have two crafting times available. They are set up to be come and go as you please:
- An evening on Wednesday, November 30, from 3 pm – 7:30 pm
- During the day Saturday, December 3, from 10 am – 4 pm.
Please let us know if you’ll be coming by calling 814-863-2000. You can address any questions about this program to Matt Marsden (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Jen Steigerwalt (email@example.com).
