Penn State Sustainable Ag Events Calendar.

The Central Susquehanna Valley Organic Crop Growers Network and Penn State are teaming up to offer on-farm educational opportunities for farmers interested in organic and/or biological farming. The meetings will focus on organic production of agronomic crops. The meetings are free and open to all interested persons. Please contact us at 784-6660 to register for the meetings you are planning to attend.

July 7 – Schmidt Family Farm (Muncy, Lycoming County) – 7:00 p.m. – Schmidt Family Farm grows corn, soybeans, alfalfa, and wheat. We will look at a field of hard red winter wheat that is intended for the food grade market.

August 25 – Jeremy Erb Farm (Milton, Northumberland County) – 7:00 p.m. – Jeremy Erb grows corn, soybeans, wheat, oats, and cash crop hay (baleage).
