Wild Edible Plant Walk in State College

May 14 – Wild Edible Plant Walk

Join Charlie Kain of Cultural Recyclists and herbalist Sharon Margaret of Gita Nagari Farms for the first in a series of wild edible plant walks in the State College area! Each walk will be centered around a particular plant. Unlike many plant walks where a broad spectrum of species are covered (and a majority forgotton), these walks will narrow in on one or two species, and those attending will leave with the knowledge of not only how to identify the plant, but how to incorporate it into their life on a regular basis through simple yet delicious recipes.  Empower yourself! Learn about the food that grows all around you! Join us Saturday, May the 14th for a lovely day in the park! 11:30 a.m. at Walnut Springs Park, State College, PA (Meet at the pavilion in Lederer Park)
