Straw Bale Workshop at Blue Rock Station in Philo, Ohio

May 28 – June 4 – Blue Rock Station’s Annual 7-Day Complete Strawbale Workshop

“This year we plan to build a small outbuilding with a curved living roof, a somewhat ambitious project – but we know you can do it. The project uses techniques we learned in building the Earthship, constructing the foundation from rammed earth tires (good practice if you are thinking of someday building an Earthship of your own). We then construct the straw bale building using as much salvaged material as possible.

In addition to seven full days of training, we’ll do a field trip to a nearby sustainable project, have evening get-togethers (so bring you guitar if you are so inclined). Those who have attended in past years have left feeling energized…Hope to see you there!”

To find out more and/or register, check out the Blue Rock Station website, or call  740-674-4300. PASA members can receive free camping (a $90 value) if they sign up before May 1.
