Way Fruit Farm in Port Matilda announces:
We wanted to let you know about some fun, upcoming events at our farm in May. We tried to plan them with the whole family in mind, so we hope you’ll find something for everyone to enjoy.
May 7 – Apple Blossom Festival
Help us kick off May with our Annual Apple Blossom Festival to be held Saturday, May 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The whole family can enjoy a free wagon ride through our sweet-smelling** orchard, in addition to beautiful photo opportunities, local food samplings in the farm store, and more!
Our Cafe will be open as normal for full breakfast and lunch menu during the apple festival. Come on out and enjoy some from-scratch pancakes, french toast, eggs, local bacon, sausage, ham or scrapple, fresh-baked muffins, apple cider donuts, fresh-brewed coffee, hot, mulled cider and more!
**Disclaimer about the apple blossom festival: We will give wagon rides no matter how many blossoms are in the orchard. With the cool weather this spring, the blossoms are moving slowly, but the weekend of May 7 is our best estimate of when our orchards will look their most beautiful white and pink and smell the sweetest. So, hope for warm weather and come on out to enjoy the apple blossoms with us!
