Traditional American Indian Pow-Wow in State College

The 8th Annual “New Faces of an Ancient People Traditional American Indian Powwow” will be held on April 2-3, 2011, at the Mount Nittany Middle School in State College, PA. A traditional American Indian powwow is a celebration of American Indian dance and culture.

As part of the powwow this year, organizers will be collecting new (unused) books, for donation to the elementary and high schools of the Solen Public School District, located in Cannon Ball, North Dakota on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation.

Admission is free to the public. The event is sponsored by Penn State University and The State College Area School District.
