The going’s getting tougher every day. Rising fuel and food costs, collapsing public treasuries, governmental paralysis.
Central Pennsylvanians are already tough. So let’s get going, together: building physical and social buffers from those price shocks; strengthening our homes and neighborhoods; and supporting our families and friends.
Join Transition Town State College on Wednesday, March 23 at 7 p.m. for an in-depth workshop on how rising energy costs are already slamming Centre County communities and how we can work together to soften that impact – from short-term, practical steps like home insulation to long-term strategic town/gown/farm planning – and everything in between.
Bring your worries and questions, your ideas and hopes, your friends and neighbors. Meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the Friends Meetinghouse, 611 E. Prospect, and will include a brief presentation followed by small group discussions.
