The Gallery Shop in Lemont has been offering demonstrations of fiber arts on Saturdays all during the month of October. They’ve also set up a frame loom in the atrium with weaving instructions and fiber for visitors to try their hand at weaving during business hours between October 6 and October 28.
- October 6 – Spinning – Lois Lewis and Susan Levine – 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- October 6 – Weaving on a Frame Loom – Margaret Blizzard – 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- October 13 – Weaving on a Rigid Heddle Loom – Margaret Blizzard – 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.; 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.; 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- October 13 – Knitting – Lena Thynell - 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.; 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.; 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- October 20 – Felting – Ann Pangborn – 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- October 27 – Andean Pebble Weaving – Julia Weldon - 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.; 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.; 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
